Marriage can be challenging; that is why 50% of marriages end in divorce, but what makes the other 50% successful? Some couples credit their marriage success to a renewed faith in God. We are looking for Christian married couples (newlyweds to veterans) to share a story of an issue that nearly destroyed their marriage, but because of their faith in God, their marriage survived. Some examples might include infidelity, past hurt that never healed, loss of a loved one, money issues, trust issues, etc. The goal is to inspire other couples to bring God into their marriages! 

We are looking for electronic submissions only. Stories that range from 1,500 to 6,000 words will be suitable for this publication. Please submit your story to submissions@getitdonepublishing.com with “Attn: Marriage Story” in the subject line by December 15, 2023. Please include your name, address, and phone with your short story attached in a Word.doc. If we choose to use your submission, you will be paid $75 upon acceptance. Additionally, Get It Done Publishing will maintain exclusive rights. We look forward to reading your stories!

Things to Consider:

• Submissions should be in standard manuscript format, though please italicize instead of underline when appropriate. If the story is not in standard manuscript format, it may be rejected without being read. The same if the stories are under 1,500 words or over 6,000.

• We only accept electronic submissions.

• We primarily publish memoirs, nonfiction, and Christian/Inspiration books. We stand on the belief that marriage is between one man and one woman.
